Hot enough for ya?

Well the 4th was fun -- we went up to Kris' folks cabin up on Mille Lacs - fishing and biking on Wednesday, swimming on Thursday... I got a little more sun than I should have on Thursday and I'm still dealing with the consequences of that. The beach on the north end of the lake is fun because you can wade out into the water for hundreds of yards before you get near any kind of dropoff. Unfortunately this also means the upper half of your body is exposed to direct sunlight for most of the time that you're out there.

With it being 97 degrees outside it's a good weekend to hide inside. Which kind of stinks though since I was stuck inside last Saturday for work. Though we did go downtown to the Farmer's Market this morning and Mirs played in the pool for a while in the backyard later in the afternoon. Kris made a bunch of stuff in the kitchen and I folded a little laundry, after that we were done. Once the sun set me and Mirs went over to the tennis court to whap the ball back and forth and we were both done after about 20 minutes.

As the summer drags on we are increasingly thinking that maybe we just live too far south. It may be time to start looking at moving to Duluth or emigrating to Canada, or Greenland or something.
