I think I worked an easy 50-60 hours this week. Hoo boy. Big loan-review marathon Monday-Wednesday and a 5-hour uber-meeting this morning. I don't think I've ever had to learn so much so fast and apply it so soon as in this job. But definitely starting to feel a little more comfortable. Also not being sick like I was the first two weeks has greatly improved my attitude. I'm convinced this year's flu shot was a placebo.
Got to meet the corporate head-shrinker this week who gave me the results of all the weird tests I had to take before they hired me. I was in the 99th percentile on the intelligence-testing part which means I'm was doign much gooder than most folks do! And I was an ISTJ on the Meyers-Briggs personality test which a friend told me means that I'm smart but kind of a wuss.
Ran to the store tonite for a few essentials, it sounds like we're gonna be snowed in for the weekend. Mira is pumped for it! I'd better get the skis and sleds down out of the rafters in the garage. I think we'll get a lot of family exercise this weekend!
I've got serious hybrid-car envy since driving Mom's over Thanksgiving. I'm really wanting to get a new car. The '98 Ford is old, slow, noisy and gets lousy gas mileage for a 4-cylinder car. And I noticed yesterday the paint is starting to crack all over the doors. I hate having to have a car payment, but I think it's time to swap out the '98 for an '08.

Great post - glad that your job is a fun challenge -- hopefully the number of hours will level off soon. The car is getting between 34 - 37 miles per gallon. Don't think we will see 40 until we get on a freeway traveling flat roads.
BUT I STILL LOVE IT ANYWAY.
