Yup, it's official, I've been laid off, down-sized, right-sized, happy-sized, let go. I have become superfluous. Redundant. My position is 'impacted'!
So the cool thing is for sticking it out 'til August I'll be rewarded with 4 months' pay in a lump-sum severance package, which with 4 months still to go until that happens gives me a pretty good time window to find something. This is pretty much what I was hoping for, so life is good. Sometimes you need something like this to just yank you out of a 'rut'.
