Sickies

Eh - we've all been feeling crummy the last few days. My tummy's been real funny and Kris has been really achy and Mirs has been really stuffy and hacky. I have a headache again as I type this.

We did manage to get Sparky out to the off-leash dog park today where he found some doggie friends to play chase with for about two hours. They have a blast, with no leashes in this huge fenced off area they just go chasing each other, running through and around the trees at insane speeds until Sparky starts hacking and coughing because he's been sprinting so fast he can't catch his breath. He also got filthy muddy. We brought him home, hosed him off, and then he snoozed all afternoon.

I also got over to Marydale Park earlier this morning for the annual city-wide spring parks cleanup. We get lots of people and lots of trash bags and just haul out all the garbage we can find along the lakeshore, in the woods, etc. in the city parks now that the snow has melted and a full winter's worth of litter accumulation is exposed. It's a lot of fun when the weather's nice like it was today.
