Stormy

We saw Kris' nephew Brian (on leave from the Coast Guard) and the rest of the family tonite at a barbecue in Shakopee which was fun -- but being a weekday evening was a whirlwind trip so we didn't have much time to visit.

Kris continues to volunteer at the library at school and has also been doing Art Adventures which is an extra little enrichment project for the kids. These activities (and prepping for them) have kept her plenty busy and today Kris meant to send this funny little rant to me about the day she was having and volunteers not showing up and accidentally sent it to some inbox for the school. WHOOPS!

In the email age, stuff like this happens to everybody sooner or later I think. Unfortunately when it DOES happen, it has to be at the most inopportune moment or with the most embarassing message.

Lately Mira's started playing Roller Coaster Tycoon on the computer -- kind of scary how fast an 8-year-old kid picks up how to manage all these things and make it a profitable operation. She'll be a good little capitalist. First time I played the game I had a bunch of bored and cranky patrons wandering around the park complaining about what a mess everything is and was losing money bad. Mira starts up a park, makes it profitable and grows it until it makes a hundred thousand dollars. It's not fair.
