A New Record

Well I'm wrapping up my 7th week as an unemployed person. This is now the longest I've been without a job since my first year in college! Ah well. Who wants to change clothes and shower every single day any way.

Had a really really good interview today about a job I'm really excited about -- also got a rejection letter this week from a place I interviewed at 2 weeks ago that at the time I thought went really well. Seems like when something falls through something else crops up, so I'm always chasing one or two leads at any given time. Now that I've gotten used to it and know what questions to ask the interviewing is getting to be a little more fun. Feels like shopping or something.

What's really amazing is how fast the day really goes by, just when you're running around and doing things, it's not even that many things, so where does the day go. And how do people with jobs find time to mow the lawn and clean the garage and stuff like that?

That is exactly why when you retire you wonder how you ever
found time to work ---- but everybody does want you to volunteer to help somewhere so
you basically are still working -
just at different stuff and hopefully its stuff you like to
do...... its always hard to say NO to good causes.
