This is the year of the zeroes in my family. I'm turning 40, my sister Susie is turning 50, Dad is turning 70, and Mira is turning 10.
Today Mom and Dad took us out for lunch for my birthday & gave me a very cool carry-on luggage deal. Has nice smooth wheels and everything, it's pretty slick.
Turning 40 really doesn't feel like that big of a deal. I mean OK actuarially I'm more than 50% through my expected lifespan -- but I'm probably in generally better shape than I was when I was half the age I am now. I don't know how significant that is but it's something I'll cling to for now to maintain the illusion that I'm really not aging.

If you are imagining a ray gun
on your desk, you are totally
not 40 yet...... thanks for
the great day.... mom and dad
hope your birthday is special, too.
Glad you like the carry-on...
Tell me when you get the bank to
open.
