I know I haven't been posting much, been sick the last week after Mirs was sick the weekend before. Nasty flu bug, still getting over it. Most beautiful weekend this year and I couldn't go play in it! Just going into the sunlight made my eyes water and gave me terriffic sneezing fits. I couldn't go out until after dark. Like a vampire.
A bit of excitement on Ryde Street this week, there was a hawk attack right out over the street in front of our house while the kids were playing outside. A hawk had a pigeon which came crashing to the ground, either from the hawk trying to throw it down and stun it, or maybe from the crippled pigeon trying to escape and then crashing to the ground itself. In any case it couldn't fly anymore, after coaxing it out from under the car Kris took it up to the injured wildlife center.
If you're looking for something new and different, our neighbors Randy and Rosalyn introduced us to the Canadian sitcom Corner Gas -- it's pretty funny, centered around a little one-horse town in the middle of nowhere with a gas station and a cafe. The flavor of the show is something like, 'Seinfeld' meets 'Grumpy Old Men'.
