Big Cleanup

So yesterday spent most of the morning at the neighborhood cleanup, unloading people's cars and throwing sofas, mattresses, giant bags of miscellaneous stuff into a big garbage truck. Heh heh, watching those things compact and smash up a couch is pretty cool - crunching up a sofa makes a LOT of noise!! Last night after all that I hurt all over. I dunno why I volunteer for such things, I must be nuts.

So today I took another car full of brush to the compost center and other stuff to Goodwill -- and the car was FULL, from floor to ceiling. My neighbors cut down all their trees and vines abutting the alley -- looks really weird, you can see right through to the other houses now where it used to be like a dark wall 30-40 feet high.

Mira's taking her art class again, she's sitting at the table right next to me painting pictures as I type this. It's pretty cool. She even painted a very nice picture of Kris
