So on my new route to work I go by Gold Medal Park (near the old Gold Medal flour mill) -- at the top of the hill I could see there was this ring of flags and a few people were going up to the top and they were looking down at something so yesterday morning I went up to check it out. There at the top of this hill was a memorial with flowers and messages.
They opened up the Stone Arch Bridge again so I could take mostly my old route home again and so my commuting life is more or less back to normal -- except the Stone Arch Bridge is quickly becoming crowded in the evening as people gather for a glimpse of what used to be the 35W bridge half a mile away.
I'm still looking for a job, running out the clock with 7 work days (counting today) remaining. Got a lead on another potentially really good one yesterday, we'll see what comes of that. Waiting on one other. One I thought I had a lock on a couple of weeks ago is out the window. I'll let you guys know as soon as there's something substantive to say.
