The Train

This scene is just surreal and creepy, it looks like earthquake scenes. This is on the northern bank of the river looking east, down a side street just about 100 feet off my commute path, just outside the security perimeter. In the top picture, the section supported by the massive concrete columns remains upright -- sections right and left of it are collapsed, sloping away in each direction. The cars still sit where they were abandoned a week ago today.

The far left end of the top picture (behind the foreground tree) is where my old commute route passed under the bridge along 2nd Street (looking through the base of the large antenna its pavement can be seen sloping up the hill beyond the bridge).

The tall building visible far beyond the antenna structure at top is Sanford Hall, the dorm Mom and Dad helped me move into when I first went to college. Closeup of the crushed train is at maximum zoom, even the wide shot is zoomed, so this isn't nearly as close as it appears.
